Happy New Year, Eh!

Second semester has finally arrived and I am delighted to embark on this new journey with your students. We have completed the region of Europe and now look to study Canada and Latin America. The Unit on Canada is relatively short in comparison to the length of time spent on the region of Europe.

Students will spend approximately two weeks on this region and then it is off to Latin America! You will begin to notice that assessments are much more frequent this semester. Statewide testing begins in April and it is my responsibility to make sure that all students have mastered the "standards". Thus, I will be using both formative and summative assessments to gage your student's progress.

Students will be required to study NIGHTLY, despite what written homework assignments have been given.

Please continue to check and utilize the wikispaces website, porteedrewcharter.wikispaces.com, as it holds invaluable information. More updates will be forth coming on that website as well.

Please check back here for weekly updates (or so I hope:) on what we will be working each week.
