Why do people chose to live where they do?

SS6G10 The student will explain the impact of location, climate and natural resources, and population distribution in Europe.

This week we will compare the United Kingdom and Russia,

Standards SS6G10 a & b requires us to examine the population distribution of Europe. By the end of this week student should be able to compare two pairs of countries, the United Kingdom and Russia and Germany and Italy; explaining the impact of location, climate, natural resources, on where people in these countries live and how they trade. Don't forget to check your students Unit 1 checklist to ensure that there is a clear understanding of what has been covered thus far.

The scores from the SS6G8&9 Test were a little lower than I had hoped, thus these topics (G8 & G9) will be revisited before the unit test. Please review the environmental concerns of Europe with your students as well as the physical and political maps. The notes and maps are posted on the Wiki page for your use.
